MIZUNO WAVE RIDER 30

The most immediate change you'll notice is the drop. The Mizuno Wave Rider 29 featured 10 mm, while the Wave Rider 30 drops to 8 mm. This is a choice that aims for a more natural and dynamic stride, more in line with the demands of today's runner. The height of themidsole rises slightly (42.5 mm in the heel), which means more material underfoot, but the forefoot-to-heel ratio changes, and this significantly transforms the running sensation.

The midsole is the other real and total breaking point. The Mizuno Wave Rider 29 used single-layer ENERZY NXT, with a solid and recognizable feel for series fans. As we indicated, the Wave Rider 30 introduces a double-layer architecture: ENERZY NXT with nitrogen in the upper part and EVA in the lower part. Consequently, the shoe feels noticeably softer on initial contact, but with a more reactive response during the propulsion phase. Without forgetting, of course, the work of that full-length Wave plate, redesigned with more organic and fluid shapes, which integrates concentrically with the foam. It is no longer perceived as a rigid element that divides the foot, but as a hidden spring that stabilizes the generous mass of the compound and provides remarkable bounce.
